FAQs
What residential technology services do you provide?
We design, install and support Wi-Fi, wired networks, home cinema, multi-room audio, displays and integrated control systems for private homes, apartments, new-build developments, student accommodation and communal residential spaces.
Why does a connected home need professionally designed Wi-Fi?
The network is the foundation of the connected home. Streaming, smart TVs, speakers, lighting, security, heating and other systems all rely on fast, stable connectivity. Professional design provides the coverage, capacity and robustness needed to keep everything working together.
What is the difference between a standard home setup and a professionally installed network?
A standard setup can struggle with larger properties, multiple users, and growing numbers of connected devices. A professionally designed network uses carefully positioned access points, wired infrastructure and proper configuration to provide consistent performance throughout the home.
Can you eliminate Wi-Fi dead spots?
Yes. We assess the property’s size, construction and layout before positioning access points to provide reliable coverage across living spaces, home offices, bedrooms, gardens and other required areas.
Can you use our existing wiring and infrastructure?
Where the existing infrastructure is suitable, we work with it. If upgrades are needed, we will explain why and recommend the most practical route forward. For new builds and major refurbishments, early planning usually delivers the best performance and cleanest installation.
What is whole-home AV?
Whole-home AV connects televisions, speakers, and entertainment sources across the property. Residents can control different rooms or zones from one system, playing the same content throughout the home or choosing something different in each space.
Can you design a dedicated home cinema or media room?
Yes. We can design and install displays, projection, surround sound, speakers, acoustic treatments and simple controls around the room, viewing distance and intended experience.
Can audio be controlled separately in different rooms?
Yes. Multi-room audio allows each room or zone to have its own source and volume level. Systems can be controlled through a touchscreen, remote, wall panel or connected device.
Will the technology be discreetly integrated into the home?
Absolutely. Equipment, speakers, displays and controls can be selected and positioned to complement the interior. The aim is to deliver the required performance without allowing the technology to dominate the space.
Can different smart-home systems work together?
Often, yes. We assess compatibility across AV, lighting, heating, security and other connected systems before recommending an integrated control approach. Where full integration is not practical, we will make that clear from the outset.
Can you work with developers, housebuilders and landlords?
Yes. We support private clients and residential projects of different scales, from individual homes to apartments, student accommodation, communal spaces and new-build developments.
At what stage should residential technology be planned?
As early as possible. Planning during the design or construction stage allows cabling, equipment locations and connectivity requirements to be incorporated before walls, finishes and joinery are completed. We can also upgrade occupied and completed properties.
Do you provide ongoing support after installation?
Yes. We provide ongoing support and maintenance to keep systems performing robustly as software, devices and household requirements change.
How do we get started?
The first step is a conversation about the property, the existing infrastructure and how the space will be used. We can then assess the requirements and present a clear, tiered recommendation.
